The Mama’s Pick Me Up Tea is a handmade herbal tea used to address both the physical and emotional aspects a mother who has the baby blues or postpartum depression. This tea contains motherwort, passionflower, lemon balm, dandelion root, nettle leaves, and red raspberry leaf. Motherwort is an herb that helps “mother the mother” and can aid in quieting an anxious mind and heart as well easing hormone shifts, and non-drowsy relief from tension. Passionflower is a calming herb that soothes the nerves and assists with calming an anxious mind, especially when struggling with insomnia. Lemon balm is an her that supports easing transitions by calming and soothing the anxious mind. In addition, it is known to ease cramps and aid in digestion. Dandelion root is high in minerals including iron and nourishes and balances the body. Nettle leaves are nutritive, blood builders due to their high mineral content. They also support the hormone system. Red Raspberry leaf is a uterine tonic and also is high in calcium.
To make a tea, add 1-2 teaspoons of loose tea to each cup of almost boiling water and allow to steep for 20 minutes. Sweeten with honey, if prefer. Strain and serve. This tin provides 9-18 servings of tea.
